Lamination OutfitterPOSITION SUMMARY:The Lamination Outfitter lays out fiberglass, removes air voids, and applies paint (where needed) with the use of small hand tools. This position assists gunner and lead in daily activities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Forms fiberglass into a mold and removes air voids.Leads and supervises with overseeing safety and quality of parts.Helps the lead and supervisor control the cost in the area.Plays a key role in training new outfitters.Runs and maintains equipment in use.Keeps work area clean, safe, and hazard free.Helps push molds.ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Degree Required: High school diploma or equivalentKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:Ability to work as a TeamAbility to give and receive spoken and written directionMust know start up and shut down procedures of equipmentAbility for rapid mental and muscular Depth perceptionCoordination simultaneouslyMust have no fiberglassTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:N/APHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Light lifting, under 20 lbs.Light carrying, under 20 lbs.Moderate lifting, 21-59 lbs.Moderate carrying, 21 – 59 lbs.Straight pullingPushingRepeated bendingReaching over shouldersUse of fingersWalkingStandingKneelingRepeated stretchingSpecific visual requirementsAbility to distinguish basic colorsAbility to distinguish shades of colorHearing (aid permitted)WORK ENVIRONMENT:Outside and insideExtreme heatExtreme humidityExtreme noise, intermittentDustFumes, smoke, or gassesSolvents (degreasing agents)Slippery or uneven walking surfacesINDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT :Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation.
