PrideStaff is seeking a skilled and motivated Screen Press Operatorfor a premier printing and manufacturing company. This role requires strong technical aptitude, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot finishing equipment. This critical role will support a growing manufacturing division as they continue to expand and diversify their business. Job Responsibilities Press Operation: Independently set up and operate a semi-automatic graphic (non-textile) screen print press. Troubleshooting & Quality Control: Resolve printing problems; adjust mechanical operations of the press to maintain optimal quality, registration, color, and production speed. Materials Handling: Effectively utilize inks, print-related chemicals, and typical plastic print substrates. Color Management: Judge and maintain strict color consistency throughout production runs. Curing Process: Ensure proper operation of ultra-violet (UV) curing equipment to guarantee correct ink curing. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational improvements, detect potential areas of risk, and share information with key stakeholders to maximize results. Asset Maintenance: Efficiently utilize company resources and properly maintain equipment to maximize return on investment. Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow workplace safety measures to safeguard all employees and visitors; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near-misses. Professional Relations: Establish and maintain positive business relationships with employees, vendors, business partners, and regulatory entities. Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information. Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. General familiarity with the printing industry. Technical Skills: Strong PC proficiency and willingness to learn new technical skills. Core Competencies: Excellent attention to detail, uncompromising integrity, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Work Style: Self-driven with the ability to work independently when needed, while also collaborating effectively within a team structure. Time Management: Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet strict deadlines. Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
