Job Description

Dodd Creative Group is seeking an experienced Senior Web & Graphic Designer to join our branding team. This hands-on role focuses on website and digital design while also supporting print collateral, brand applications, and other creative work across a variety of media.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional web and digital design, typography, and layout, with the ability to carry established brands across digital and print applications.

As a senior member of the creative team, this designer will take ownership of projects from concept through completion, make strong design decisions independently, and maintain a high level of creative and technical execution. They will also mentor junior designers, provide constructive feedback, solve design challenges, and identify opportunities to elevate the work while maintaining Dodd Creative Group's standards for quality and accuracy.

This is a full-time, in-office position in Dallas, TX. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Creative Support

• Mentor junior designers by providing clear, constructive feedback, technical guidance, and support while reviewing work for quality and accuracy.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve design solutions, creative execution, and project workflows.
• Translate creative briefs and established brand direction into strategic, polished design solutions, taking ownership of projects from concept through final delivery.
• Collaborate with Creative Directors and other team members to solve design challenges and maintain Dodd Creative Group's standards for quality and accuracy.
• Share knowledge, best practices, new tools, and techniques with the creative team to support continued growth and development.

Web & Digital

• Lead the design and execution of custom websites and digital experiences, including work within established Figma templates provided by our website development partners.
• Collaborate with web developers to ensure design intent, functionality, responsive behavior, and project requirements are effectively carried through development.
• Create digital media including PowerPoint presentations, email graphics, social media assets, and other digital marketing materials.
• Use AI-powered creative tools for concept exploration, image generation and editing, content development, research, and ideation.

Print & Production

• Design print collateral including brochures, flyers, pocket folders, signage graphics, and other marketing materials from concept through mechanical production.
• Develop brand guidelines, final logo packages, and brand usage standards.
• Draw, edit, and prepare floor plans and site maps.
• Prepare and maintain organized, accurate, production-ready working files.
• Coordinate with print vendors and other outside partners as needed.
• QC, repackage, and prepare incoming print materials for client delivery or shipping, including occasional lifting and handling of boxes.

Additional Responsibilities

• Proof and quality-control work for accuracy, consistency, functionality, and overall design quality.
• Identify and proactively resolve design, production, and development issues.
• Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines through Smartsheets and communicate regularly with managers and team members regarding project status and potential issues.
• Stay current on web and graphic design trends, emerging technologies, AI tools, software capabilities, accessibility standards, and industry best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

· 5+ years of professional web, digital, and graphic design experience, preferably in an agency or fast-paced creative environment.

· Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interactive Design, or a related field.

· Strong online portfolio demonstrating high-level web and digital design and excellent typography.

· High proficiency in Figma and strong knowledge of responsive design, UX, accessibility, and desktop/mobile design.

· High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, on Mac.

· Strong print design and production experience, including preparation of accurate, production-ready files.

· Experience with generative AI and AI-assisted creative tools.

· Strong knowledge of file formats, image resolution, digital asset preparation, and print production.

· Ability to interpret creative direction, solve design challenges, and produce polished work with limited oversight.

· Strong design judgment and attention to typography, layout, composition, color, and detail.

· Excellent proofreading and quality-control skills.

· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Comfortable presenting design rationale, receiving feedback, and adapting to evolving project needs.

· Collaborative and dependable, with the ability to work effectively with designers, developers, vendors, and production teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in Webflow and/or WordPress.
• Experience working directly with web developers and preparing organized design files for development handoff.
• Experience with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, video editing, animation, or motion graphics.
• Experience designing environmental graphics, signage, and wayfinding systems.
• Familiarity with architectural drawings, blueprints, floor plans, and related terminology.
• Experience in real estate, multifamily housing, commercial development, or a related industry. xhyhwjd

Salary Range $60,000-$65,000 annually
